I am an unashamed flaneur by nature, and for me, the perfect Saturday morning, before entering the scrum at Guido’s, is an hour spent at Bizalion’s, reading the paper over a double espresso, a croissant, and a glass of rough, red Vin de Pays. Only the Gitanes are missing”

Bizalion’s serves up authentic southern French fare with high-quality ingredients: crunchy baguette with tuna bathed in fresh, glistening olive oil (pan bagna), the sweet-salty-umami of a pissaladière tart (think French pizza, with caramelized onions, anchovy filets, and oil-cured olives flecked with herbes de Provence)...Great for lunch...and a fine purveyor of gourmet food, too. Bizalion’s is a serious contender for my favorite places in South County.”
